Kiss Of Death Introduction


This Vlog is the start of a small series  involving the development of my game Kiss Of Death.

Premise

Kiss of death is a stealth/survival 3rd person game that is set in a dystopian environment. The game has been planned to start off with the main character who finds himself all alone on the ledge of a rather tall building. What he sees is an army of flying Reptilian Machines is a sea of fog and has to find his way out.

 Objective Of The Project

I primarily started this project as an entry to a game jam...due to last minute shenanigans I had uploaded the game 2 minutes after the submissions closed which got me pissed and angry(mostly at myself lol). So I decided to spend maybe a couple of weeks and complete this project during my spare time. The goal of this project to reflect that of a vertical slice. Which means that this project would have to reflect the quality of a shippable game albeit on a very small scale.

Gameplay Time

To account for polish I've decided to make at most 15 minutes of pure gameplay. Just about enough for players to have a quick adventure.

Inspiration 

My primary inspiration for this game is Hideo Kojima. Yep, his work was the flagpole for stealth games, with games like the Metal Gear series, Silent Hill and recent Death Stranding.

Artistic Vision

Low Poly and Heavily Atmospheric with a limited color palette akin to games like Inside.
